Warre Hive Assistance

Good friends nearby own a very productive commercial dessert apple and pear orchard. For years they have use the services of a few neglected colonies of bees abandoned by a long gone beekeeper.

The hives have finally collapsed from age and Fiona has bought a replacement Warre hive. I was asked to help set up the Warre hives and to think of ways to transfer the remaining colony of bees in an old WBC hive into the new Warre hives. We will get the chance to move them this weekend - I will try and get some pictures to include.

Meanwhile take a look at what a Warre hive looks like on this link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yA7BdzNZOT0
